Raël
and GMOs
Lies, Ignorance or Greed?
Raël has, for a long time, pressured Raëlians and others
into believing that:
1. Genetically modified organism (GMOs) pose no danger to
health
2. That genetically engineered food can feed the Earth’s
populations at a cheaper cost.
3. That GMOs are derived for the same principles as those
used in crossing the best specimens in nature and the
animal kingdom, but that the results take less time.
4. That the opponents to genetically engineered (GE) food
are somehow mentally inferior and are unfamiliar with the
subject. Etc. etc.
What
are the facts?
To all you truth
seekers, I strongly recommend reading Marie-Monique
Robin’s
Le monde selon Monsanto.
She was the
recipient of the Albert-Londres Prize in 1995. She has
produced several prize-winning documentaries filmed in
South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
She is also the author of several books, including “Voleurs
d’organes – Enquête sur un trafic" (Bayard 1996), “Les
Cents Photos du siècle” (Le chêne 1999), “Escadrons de la
mort, l’école française” (La découverte 2004, 2006) and
“L’école du soupcon. Les dérives de la lutte contre la
pédophilie” (La découverte, 2006).
In reading Ms. Robin’s enquiry, you may not only
learn
that Raël’s above claims are
false, but that
massive contamination by GE crops has already affected
non-transgenic agriculture, including organic
agriculture.
